With just over a month to go before Charleston week starts, 169 boats are entered to race. Melges 24s are the leading fleet with 37 boats. Top local talent and newcomers are scheduled to attend, including Southeastern Governor Steve Kopf and 2nd place finisher at St. Pete David O’Rielly.
Several other one-design fleets will also be making an impressive showing, including Viper 640s and Melges 20s.

He’s turned up the volume on the interviews and articles, including Tactics with Scott Nixon and how Kristen Lane became one of the top female skippers in the class. More than 70 volunteers have worked diligently to help put on the Nationals. Please take a moment to thank them.
Marielle Charette and Van Kinnett lead the show on Saturday night with a terrific Lowcountry Boil shrimp and sausage dinner.
