Overnight, I uploaded, 330 photos from Melges 24 Racing Practice in Charleston Harbor to Picassa. You can see them at http://picasaweb.google.com/ReggieFairchild/M24PracticeRacesInCharlestonHarborJanuary112009#
It’s an overwhelming number of photos. My goal was to let you disect your starts, mark rounding, sail trim, crew position and movement. The goal was not to post the most beautiful shots. I did delete the trash.
For anyone who wasn’t there, the format is:
- Three 3-minute rolling starts. The last one is for real.
- Two laps around a 300-yard windward-leeward course.
- Finish downwind.
- Quickly adjust the course for any windshifts.
- Repeat the whole process about 5 times.
